Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Dispatch experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches transportation equipment in accordance with the Linehaul plan.
• Ensures Linehaul dispatch and arrival rules per Company procedures.
• Dispatches cargo to maximize trailer volume while meeting delivery obligations.
• Enters dispatch events into the TMS to ensure on-time delivery and pickup of trailers.
• Verifies equipment location via yard inventories and checks load/unload status of trailers.
• Reports schedule delays, accidents, and equipment failures and implements contingency plans.
• Communicates safety initiatives to maintain a safety-conscious culture.
• Reviews DOT roadside violations and compiles data for management reports.
• Assists with audits by retrieving data/files as needed.
