Job summary

FedEx is hiring for a Linehaul Dispatcher responsible for directing the dispatch of transportation equipment and ensuring adherence to Linehaul schedules to maximize capacity and on-time delivery. You will coordinate shipments, enter events in the TMS, and monitor trailer load conditions to support service integrity.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, and dispatch experience is preferred. Strong time management, communication skills, and knowledge of Linehaul operations and DOT

Responsibilities

• Direct dispatch of transportation equipment in accordance with the Linehaul plan.
• Ensure Linehaul dispatch/arrival rules follow company procedures.
• Coordinate cargo shipments to maximize trailer volume and meet delivery obligations.
• Enter dispatch events into the TMS to ensure on-time delivery and pickup.
• Verify equipment location with yard inventories and load/unload status with yard checks.
• Report schedule delays, accidents and equipment failures; implement contingency plans.
