Federal Express Corporation in Chicago, IL is seeking a Dispatch Specialist to manage the Linehaul plan, dispatch equipment, and ensure on-time pickup and delivery. You will enter events in the TMS, verify trailer locations with yard inventories, and monitor load status to maximize trailer utilization while adhering to safety and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Dispatch experience preferred.
• Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsabilités

• Execute dispatch of transportation equipment per the Linehaul plan.
• Ensure Linehaul dispatch and arrival rules follow company procedures.
• Dispatch cargo shipments to maximize trailer volume and meet delivery obligations.
• Enter dispatch events into the TMS to ensure on-time delivery and pickup of trailers.
• Verify equipment location in the dispatch system by completing yard inventories.
• Verify load/unload status of trailers by yard checks and report missing equipment.
• Support safety initiatives to maintain a safety-conscious culture.
• Investigate and report schedule delays, accidents, and equipment failures; implement contingency plans for on-time load delivery.
• Review DOT roadside violations with management.
• Compile data and provide reports for management review and BCSA audits.
• Review TLCRs to ensure proper completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
