Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a logistics dispatcher to support planning transportation needs and direct the dispatch of equipment in alignment with the Linehaul plan.

You will collaborate with field operations to ensure adequate trailer and contractor coverage, track trailers and equipment in the FedEx network, and enter trip details into the TMS to guarantee on-time deliveries. A focus on safety and timely reporting of issues is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Logistics, Business, or related area preferred.
• Dispatch experience preferred.
• Post-peak schedule - Night shifts may be required.
• If the candidate is in Quebec, bilingual (French and English) is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs dispatch of transportation equipment per Linehaul plan.
• Collaborates with field operations to plan contractor and equipment needs.
• Coordinates and tracks trailers, rental equipment, and dollies within the FedEx network.
• Ensures on-time delivery by entering trip details into the TMS system.
• Verifies equipment location and load/unload status; reports missing equipment.
• Communicates safety initiatives and maintains safety-conscious culture.
• Investigates delays, accidents, and equipment failures; implements contingency plans.
• Reviews DOT roadside violations and coordinates with Safety and Maintenance teams.
