Job summary

Job description

Company: Wasatch Labs

Position Summary: Under limited supervision, participates in the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures. Prepares operational analyses and reports to the Line Lead and follows current procedures to monitor and improve the efficiency of operations. Employees must complete required hand-repetitive motions to meet Company expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
  • Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
  • Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks.
  • Ensure all materials and products are properly closed to prevent leaking and meet required specifications.
  • Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools.
  • Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
  • Place or pour products or materials into containers, using hand tools and equipment, or fill containers from spouts or chutes.
  • Ensure proper GMP is being followed – maintain a clean area in production.
  • Prepare for line work with proper GMP attire.
  • Produce quality products without mindless hand-moving.
  • Move materials for completed products and packages to established locations.
  • Utilize machinery in the best and proper way.
  • Break down unused components (cardboard – place in blue bin for recycling).
  • Clean the line after the run; perform bi-weekly cleanings.
  • Work inside the filling room with proper GMP attire.
  • Make sure proper components are being used, including Master Shipper Labels.
  • Perform squeeze on test tubes to ensure the product is not leaking and meets the required specifications.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The position requires regular talking or hearing, frequent use of hands or fingers, handling or feeling objects, tools, or controls. The employee may stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds is required. Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
