Job summary

Capstone Nutrition in Ogden, UT is seeking a maintenance-focused production technician to support line efficiency and equipment reliability. You will lead daily activities, set up lines, and enforce SOPs and GMPs to ensure consistent product quality.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma (some college with technical maintenance training preferred), lean experience, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college with maintenance training preferred.
• Familiar with visual management tools and standard work instructions.
• Lean experience preferred; ability to apply lean concepts in production.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.
• Proficient with common computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, database).
• Ability to present information to management and teams.

• Support corporate ethics and standards, by example, and by directive.
• Sets daily, weekly, and monthly goals; measures progress and reviews with management regularly
• Assures that the operation is compliant with the SOP’s, proposed GMP’s, and those procedures are adequately documented.
• Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
• Engage in proper use, care, and documentation of equipment and materials issued in work area.
• Recommends equipment purchases to improve operations, i.e. reduce costs, improve quality, reduce lead-times, etc.
• All other duties as assigned and needed

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred with technical training in maintenance manufacturing.
• Familiarity with One Point Lesson Plans, Standard Work Instruction and other visual management tools.
• Lean experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively, in both verbal and written formats.
• Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English in order to perform the essential functions of the job as they relate to comprehension of laws, regulations, standards, documents and other internal and external communications.
• Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
• Ability to effectively present information to upper management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Ability to, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Subject to normal warehouse and production environment.
• Subject to high noise levels where hearing protection is required and all personnel protective equipment is required.
• Subject to atmospheric conditions, such as fumes, odors, powders, dust and other particles.
