Job summary

WASA Wasatch Product Development in Layton, Utah, is seeking a Pack-Out Line Leader responsible for overseeing daily operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Line Leadership and Coordination:

  • Lead daily operations of the pack‑out line, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Assign tasks and monitor the performance of pack‑out team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for pack‑out line issues, escalating significant concerns to supervisors as needed.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Conduct visual inspections of finished goods to verify packaging, labeling, and lot coding meet GMP and company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and facility safety regulations throughout the pack‑out process.
  • Document and report any quality issues or deviations promptly.

Training and Development:

  • Train team members on pack‑out procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to improve team performance and efficiency.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline pack‑out operations and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to implement process improvements.

Inventory and Documentation:

  • Verify the availability of necessary materials and supplies for daily operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, including counts, batch information, and downtime.

Safety and Equipment Maintenance:

  • Ensure proper handling and operation of pack‑out equipment.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Promote a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Perform Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Support other production or quality‑related tasks as directed by supervisors.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.
  • Regularly required to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise, temperature changes, and airborne particles.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a production or packaging environment, preferably in the dietary supplement, food, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to guide and motivate a team.
  • Strong understanding of GMPs, FDA regulations, and packaging standards.
  • Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Work Environment

This role operates in a dietary supplement production facility with strict adherence to quality and safety standards. The schedule may include shifts, weekends, and overtime to meet production demands.
