Job description

Position Summary

Under limited supervision, participates in development and implementation of unit policies and procedures. Prepares operational analyses and reports to Line Lead, monitors and improves efficiency of operations. Employees must complete required hand‑repetitive motions. Employees are required to learn every position in the line to rotate during the shift, working in enclosed rooms and out.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
  • Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packaging specifications are met.
  • Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or specified areas such as loading docks.
  • Ensure all materials and products are properly closed to prevent leaking and meet required specifications.
  • Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools.
  • Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
  • Place or pour products or materials into containers using hand tools and equipment, or fill containers from spouts or chutes.
  • Ensure proper GMP is followed – maintain a clean and organized area in production, and come to the line prepared with proper GMP attire.
  • Produce quality products – avoid mindless hand‑moving.
  • Move materials for completed products and packages to established locations.
  • Utilize machinery in the best and proper way.
  • Break down unused components.
  • Clean the line after the run; perform bi‑weekly cleanings.
  • Ensure proper components are being used.
  • Perform squeeze on test tubes to ensure product is not leaking and meets required specifications.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The employee regularly required to talk or hear, use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Noise level usually moderate.
