Job summary

Jet Aviation in Teterboro, NJ is seeking a Manager of Line Service to coordinate daily activities for the line service department and oversee supervisors, leads and technicians. The role emphasizes customer service, safety and adherence to procedures in a dynamic, around-the-clock operation.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 7+ years in line/ramp, 3+ years in supervision, and a valid driver license. A NATA Line Service certificate and FAA background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 7 years of Line & Ramp experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Must have a valid state driver license.
• Certificate form NATA Line Service training program.
• Must be able to pass an FAA required 10-year background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and maintains adherence to the Standards of Excellence for courteous customer service, grooming and dress code.
• Supervises and manages on a daily basis the line service supervisors, leads, and line service technicians.
• Enhances and reinforces training programs to ensure a high and continuing level of customer service and safety is maintained by the department.
• Establishes schedules and assign individual duties to the supervisors, leads, senior personnel and related positions.
• Interviews applicants for all open positions within the department with HR.
• Takes an active role in hiring, discipline, training, retraining, evaluation and counseling of employees.
• Prepares materials used in evaluating and assessing performance of personnel.
• Reviews daily fuel activity reports to ensure fuel sales are delivered and recorded properly.
• Responsible for payroll review and approval of time worked for all line service employees.
• Communicates changes to company policies to staff.
• Motivates staff to provide the highest service levels.
