Job summary

HACO CULINARY in Manteno, IL is seeking a QC Inspector to conduct line clearances and perform routine material and product testing. The role ensures documentation for quality compliance and traceability, reporting any non-conformances promptly.

You will perform chemical, physical and analytical tests, document results, and maintain line integrity to support customer and regulatory audits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with science background or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficient math and calculations with basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize non-conformances to SOP.
• Good organizational skills and clear reporting abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑department work.
• Ability to collaborate with production and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Conducts line inspections prior to start-up and verifies line clearance checklist compliance.
• Performs swab and allergen tests and communicates results for line release.
• Maintains GMP compliance and documents inline process inspections in SafetyChain.
• Conducts metal detector tests every 2 hours on all running lines.
• Records results in SafetyChain and ensures start/end tests are completed.
• Reports non-conformances and places MRB holds as needed.
• Collects retention samples for traceability or customer complaints.
• Inspects incoming raw materials and finished products for conformance.
