Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Project Lead Engineer to support production process definition, optimize cycle times, and ensure on-time delivery. You will define processes, document methods, and share cycle time data with internal teams on an onsite role.

You will lead on-floor troubleshooting, mentor operators, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with maintenance, quality, and engineering to prevent disruptions and improve production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years manufacturing experience for Bachelor’s path; 4+ for Associate; 6+ for HS diploma.
• Experience as an Operator, Product Trainer, Technician, Line Coordinator, Quality Technician, or similar role.
• Excellent interpersonal and proactive problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documentation on process phases, methods, and cycle times.
• Provide updated docs to Supply Chain Management for supplier evaluations and agreements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues on the production floor; identify root causes and implement improvements.
• Deliver training on new processes, standard work instructions, and best practices to operators.
• Monitor key production KPIs (line balance, quality, productivity, process adherence).
• Assist in defining action plans and training for Maintenance and Production teams during startups.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance, quality, and engineering to prevent disruptions.
• Coach operators and communicate corrective actions to foster a positive, fast-changing manufacturing environment.
