Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience, or equivalent.
  • Experience as Operator, Trainer, Technician, Line Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to work on the production floor 90% of the time.
  • Experience training and mentoring others.
  • Shift availability on 2nd shift, weekend nights, or compressed weekend days.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical documentation on process phases, methods, and cycle times.
  • Ensure updated process and technical documentation are provided to Supply Chain Management teams.
  • Provide hands-on support on the production floor by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing improvements.
  • Deliver training on new processes, standard work instructions, and best practices.
  • Monitor KPIs including line balance, quality performance, productivity, and process adherence.
  • Collaborate with operators, maintenance, quality, and engineering to prevent disruptions.
  • Coach operators and lead effective communication in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

This position reports to:

Senior Project Lead Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support production process definition to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of product. Each day, you will participate in the sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products. You will also showcase your expertise by sharing cycle time data with internal teams.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

  • Preparing technical documentation regarding the process phases, related methods, and cycle times.
  • Ensuring that updated process and technical documentation are provided to Supply Chain Management teams to support supplier evaluations and proper supplier agreements.
  • Providing hands-on support on the production floor by troubleshooting manufacturing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing process improvements to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
  • Serving as a technical resource for operators, delivering training on new processes, standard work instructions, and best practices while ensuring successful adoption of operational changes.
  • Monitoring and supporting key production KPIs, including line balance, quality performance, productivity, and process adherence, to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Participating in the definition of action plans, training of relevant Maintenance and Production teams, and other support activities during the internal/external process and equipment start-up.
  • Collaborating closely with operators, maintenance teams, quality personnel, and engineering groups to proactively identify potential production issues, resolve problems quickly, and prevent future disruptions.
  • Demonstrating strong communication and leadership skills by coaching operators, conveying corrective actions professionally, fostering a positive team environment, and adapting effectively in a fast-paced, high-change manufacturing setting.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience OR Associate's degree with 4+ years of relevant manufacturing experience OR High School Diploma with 6+ years of relevant manufacturing experience; applicable internships, co-ops, or apprenticeships may be counted toward the experience requirement.
  • Manufacturing experience as an Operator, Product Trainer, Technician, Line Coordinator, Quality Technician, or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work 90% of the time on the production floor
  • Experience training and mentoring others
  • Background in Maintenance, Pre-Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related manufacturing disciplines preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Nice to Have: Experience delivering product training, serving as a trainer or mentor for manufacturing personnel, working as an Automation Technician, or performing hands‑on manufacturing, production maintenance, or technical operations in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Shift Availability: Positions are available on 2nd Shift (Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM-2:00 AM), Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM), and Compressed Weekend Days (Thursday-Sunday, 8:00 AM-7:00 PM); overtime opportunities may be available based on business needs.
