Job summary

ABB is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead on-site engineering efforts for customer manufacturing operations. You will drive technical services, safety on site, and collaboration with customers to ensure reliable automation systems and successful project outcomes.

The role requires strong control-system design, HMI programming, and experience with Rockwell/ABB PLC platforms, with a focus on heavy industry environments. On-site work with occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in process, electrical, or mechanical engineering required.
5+ years of hands-on experience with control systems and HMI hardware/software.
Experience with Modbus and DeviceNet is preferred.
Strong knowledge of AC/DC motors and industrial electrical principles.
Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix and PanelView is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical lead for maintaining and supporting the customer’s manufacturing control systems.
Lead HSE activities on site and ensure safe operation of automation systems.
Interpret and apply customer documentation including drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
Program and troubleshoot controller and HMI applications using ABB and third‑party PLC platforms.
Perform hands‑on fieldwork, including operation of industrial networks and Ethernet‑based devices.
