Make a difference through great food. We’re looking for a reliable and team-oriented Line/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you’ll help prepare high-quality meals that enhance the well being of our residents.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare foods using standardized recipes and procedures
- Cook and prepare vegetables, starches, baked goods, sauces, and more
- Ensure food quality through proper tasting and presentation
- Portion meals accurately based on dietary needs and preferences
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Assist with kitchen cleaning and equipment care
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow recipes and perform basic math
- Strong attention to detail and food quality
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- At least two years of prep, line cook, fine dining, or banquet experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for most of your shift
- Comfortable working in varying kitchen temperatures
- Able to move throughout the facility and kitchen areas
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay rate for this position is $20.00 - $21.45 per hour, and is based on experience. Bonuses equaling up to 2% of salary annually are available based on performance, generally in the spring and fall each year.
