Job summary

ClarkLindsey is seeking a reliable Line/Prep Cook to join our Dining Services team in Urbana, IL. You will prepare high-quality meals for residents using standardized recipes and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.

We look for at least two years of prep/line cook or banquet experience, strong teamwork, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The role offers a regular early schedule and benefits for full/part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Follow recipes and perform basic math as part of daily prep and cooking tasks.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Work effectively as part of a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
• Two+ years of prep, line cook, fine dining, or banquet experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods using standardized recipes and procedures.
• Cook and prepare vegetables, starches, baked goods, sauces, and more.
• Ensure food quality through proper tasting and presentation.
• Portion meals accurately based on dietary needs and preferences.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning and equipment care.
