Job summary

Black Walnut Cafe in Houston, TX is seeking a Kitchen Partner for back‑of‑house roles including Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Dishwasher. The partner will ensure timely production using company recipes and maintain sanitation and security of their work area.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down stations, serving guests' needs, and managing daily checklists and par sheets to meet quality standards. This on-site role reports to Kitchen Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist in taking care of guest's needs
• Set up stations for shifts and break down or reset stations after a shift
• Properly producing the guest's order
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
• Putting orders away as they arrive
• Checking product for our quality standards
• Complete daily checklists
• Complete daily par sheets accurately
• Ensure all food produced meets expectations
• Shrink / security control
• Follow systems for quality
• Alert management to any issues or problems
• Report all malfunctioning equipment to store management
