Job summary

Bosch Charleston Plant seeks a Manufacturing Engineer - Line Planner to own daily line performance, coordinating rapid problem resolution and cross-functional collaboration to sustain safe, efficient production. You will monitor KPIs, drive rapid recovery, and partner with Process to implement long-term improvements.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, strong communication, and a focus on continuous improvement within a high-volume environment at the Charleston facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 3–7 years of manufacturing engineering or production engineering experience.
• Experience supporting automated high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex production data
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, extreme willingness to share know-how.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and operational excellence

Responsibilities

• Own the daily technical performance of assigned production lines.
• Monitor machine status, production flow, and key performance metrics.
• Identify production risks and proactively communicate impacts to Operations.
• Lead structured escalation of safety, quality, delivery, and equipment issues.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources including Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and the Process Group.
• Ensure production issues are documented and communicated effectively.
