Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a reliable line worker to join our manufacturing team in Connecticut. You will follow safety and quality guidelines, perform packaging and palletizing from conveyors, and maintain clean, organized work areas.

This role requires good reading and communication, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work 12-hour day or night shifts, weekends, and overtime. GED is required; HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Good attention to detail for bottle inspection and labeling.
• Must be dependable with good attendance and able to meet production specs.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Safety and Quality Guidelines.
• Pack or Palletize production from conveyors systems.
• Maintain housekeeping around the line and machine areas.
• Remove scrap and rework/ repack defective product with proper paperwork.
• Initial and date box labels; make out unit tickets.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
