Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a dependable production worker to support line operations, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on the manufacturing floor. You will follow standard procedures and collaborate with supervisors to meet daily targets.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, performing housekeeping, labeling, ticketing, and assisting on the line as needed to support a safe and productive plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment
• Adhere to Silgan safety policies to prevent injuries
• Monitor ware for quality defects and inform operator/coordinator
• Pack at standard rate
• Operate a punch
• Load conveyors and flamers
• Housekeeping on assigned line and around machines (including mopping)
• Remove scrap from around the line
• Grind and pull plastic as needed
• Make and unitize cartons as assigned
• Initial and date box labels
• Make out unit tickets
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
