Job summary

DAP is seeking a Machine Operator for the Baltimore Plant to support packaging and filling operations. The role requires operating multiple lines, performing quality checks, and reporting material usage to minimize waste. Attention to safety, accurate downtime logs, and teamwork are essential.

The position offers a 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM) with overtime possibilities and double-time pay after 50 hours. Competitive benefits include 401(k) with company match and health plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for periods of up to 3 hours at a time.
• Ability to climb steps/ladders.
• Must wear required PPE at all times throughout the shift (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Operates packaging and filling lines: place packaging, monitor filling, pack finished product, perform quality checks, assist in cleaning and changeover.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by reporting material usage, minimizing waste, reporting spills, and ensuring counts per case and pallets are accurate.
• Utilize RF scanner and SAP system.
• Maintain production logs to record downtime and issues.
• Complete all paperwork accurately.
• Perform housekeeping to keep a neat, orderly work area.
• Abide by all safety rules and work in other areas as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION DAP has an exciting opportunity for Machine Operators at our Baltimore Plant!

This position supports the plant's manufacturing operation by ensuring the various packaging and filling equipment runs smoothly and minimizes downtime.

Below is the available shift schedule: 2nd Shift (Monday to Thursday 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM) Overtime is available/required. Associates earn double-time pay for all hours worked in excess of 50 hours in your standard work week!

Responsibilities:

• Operates a variety of packaging and filling lines including: placing of packaging on the line, monitoring the filling operation, packing-off finished product, performing quality checks and assisting in the cleaning and changeover of the line.
• Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory by proper reporting of material usage, minimizing waste, reporting any spills, and ensuring all items per case and cases per pallet counts are accurate.
• Utilize RF scanner and SAP system.
• Maintain production logs to accurately record downtime/issues.
• Completes all paperwork accurately.
• Performs housekeeping duties to ensure a neat and orderly work area.
• Abides by all departmental and plant safety rules.
• Works in other areas as required by business needs.

Pay Rate: $20.09/hr
