Job summary

DAP is seeking a Machine Operator for our Baltimore Plant to support packaging and filling operations. The role includes monitoring lines, packing finished goods, ensuring quality, and maintaining accurate logs and inventory.

Shift is 2nd (Mon-Thu 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM) with overtime potential and double-time over 50 hours/week. Benefits include Pension Plan, 401k, health/dental/vision, parental leave and stock purchase plan.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Stand for periods of up to 3 hours at a time.
• Ability to climb steps/ladders.
• Must wear required PPE at all times (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Operates packaging and filling lines, loads packaging, monitors filling, packs finished product, performs quality checks, and assists in line changeovers.
• Maintains accurate inventory reporting, minimizes waste, reports spills, and ensures counts per case and pallets per case are accurate.
• Uses RF scanner and SAP system.
• Maintains production logs and completes paperwork accurately.
• Performs housekeeping to keep a neat work area and adheres to safety rules.
• Willing to work in other areas as required by business needs.

This position supports the plant's manufacturing operation by ensuring the various packaging and filling equipment runs smoothly and minimizes downtime.

Shift schedule

• 2nd Shift (Monday to Thursday 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM)

Overtime is available/required. Associates earn double-time pay for all hours worked in excess of 50 hours in your standard work week!

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of packaging and filling lines including: placing of packaging on the line, monitoring the filling operation, packing-off finished product, performing quality checks and assisting in the cleaning and changeover of the line.
• Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory by proper reporting of material usage, minimizing waste, reporting any spills, and ensuring all items per case and cases per pallet counts are accurate.
• Utilize RF scanner and SAP system.
• Maintain production logs to accurately record downtime/issues. Completes all paperwork accurately.
• Performs housekeeping duties to ensure a neat and orderly work area.
• Abides by all departmental and plant safety rules.
• Works in other areas as required by business needs.
