Job summary

Chugach Electric Association, Alaska's largest electric utility, is seeking a Line Operations - Maintenance and Construction Manager for the Greater Anchorage Area. You will oversee day-to-day line maintenance and construction of transmission and distribution systems, lead field crews, and ensure work is safe, on schedule, and within budget.

• Expertise in electric utility infrastructure, with knowledge of transmission and distribution systems and safety practices.
• Proven project management abilities from scope to completion, with schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Experience supervising field crews and promoting a safety culture.
• Commitment to high-quality customer service and clear stakeholder communications.
• Experience in electric utility or related industry; familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle field operations and emergencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with scheduling, reporting, and documentation tools.
• Degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day line operations, plan and direct maintenance and construction of transmission and distribution systems.
• Lead field crews, assign work, monitor progress, ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
• Manage outage response, review work orders, prioritize system upgrades, ensure safety compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and customer service to support reliable service and inform members.
• Review performance metrics and support training and development for line operations staff.
