ACH Food Companies, Inc. is hiring a Line Mechanic for the ARGO Plant on off shift, based in Summit, IL. The role focuses on daily repair and maintenance of plant mechanical systems and equipment, with potential 3rd shift and weekend work.

Schedule includes 11pm–7am CST with shift differentials; starting pay per CBA. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of industrial experience in food manufacturing or packaging, and journeyman mechanic skills.

Qualifications

• Journeyman mechanic skills required.
• Advanced training in mechanical systems including hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
• Basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

Responsibilities

• Install facility machinery.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
• Write and maintain SOPs and JSAs.
• Repair heavy duty and precision equipment.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
