Job summary

AptarGroup, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic for the 2nd shift (MARV) in Cary, IL, working 4:20pm–12:30am, Monday–Friday. The role maintains electrical and electro‑mechanical production machinery, with progression and support from Assembly Mechanic II.

Responsibilities include running and inspecting machines, changeovers, preventive maintenance, and recording maintenance in SAP/TMP. Requires HS degree, basic troubleshooting, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Basic troubleshooting and electrical sensor replacement experience.
• Certified Operator I with understanding of running a machine for setup.
• Mechanical skills/aptitude, tested.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and stand/walk/bend/stoop throughout shift.
• Able to read, write and speak English to communicate quality and production issues.
• Able to read inspection gauges and perform basic math/PC tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions of Operator and/or Material Handler.
• Run and inspect machines in area; assist with minor troubleshooting under Assembly Mechanic II direction.
• Assist with parts and tooling changeovers; open work orders and issue parts.
• Clean, inspect and lubricate high speed equipment; rebuild machine components.
• Create maintenance records in SAP/TMP; contribute to preventative maintenance.
• Print and interpret production schedules; assist team lead; complete and email production log.
