Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• CDL beginner permit within 60 days.
• Physical abilities assessment is required.
• Must acquire qualifications to perform duties of the next higher classification as determined by the Company.
• Relocation within 30 miles of the New Philadelphia service center (203 Mill Ave SE New Philadelphia, OH 44663).

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly, installation, maintenance and removal of line materials under supervision.
• Inspect underground facilities, conductors, fixtures and structures on de-energized lines.
• Load and unload poles, towers and structures and manage related equipment.
• Perform ground person duties as required and progress in responsibilities with training.
• Test de-energized lines and operate basic equipment after progressing through training levels.
• Read meters and maintain basic records.
