Factory Location: Charlotte, NC

Compensation: $33.00 / Hour

Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate; shift differential paid for applicable hours worked

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm (2nd Shift); hours are subject to change

Must be able to attend training on day shift for approximately three weeks.

Responsibilities

• Support operators through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment
• Learn and understand all SOPs for mechanic and operator level positions
• Operate all equipment within normal parameters, set points, etc.
• Train at each machine center and assist team members as needed
• Execute work orders including special projects, rebuilds, and installations
• Work urgently to repair and restart lines quickly
• Develop basic maintenance knowledge and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Perform planned maintenance during stoppages, focusing on project work, installations, and standard procedures
• Collaborate with vendors for equipment startup, improvements, and modifications
• Train operators on equipment standards and technical modules
• Identify equipment losses and develop plans to reduce downtime

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• At least one year of experience with maintenance or inventory systems preferred
• Minimum two years in manufacturing preventive maintenance
• Strong skills in industrial electricity, mechanical power transmission, and fluid piping
• Good computer skills, including maintenance management systems
• Excellent troubleshooting and decision-making skills
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing preferred
• Ability to work in a team and handle multiple priorities
• Motivated with a sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills and follow-up capabilities
• Experience with plant support equipment is a plus
