Job summary

Jabil in Florence, Kentucky is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Line Lead to organize line workload and staffing on the 6am-6pm shift. You will partner with the Assembly Line Supervisor to ensure timely production and adherence to workmanship standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma (associates preferred), at least 3 years in manufacturing, and 1 year of leadership. You will drive continuous improvement, train line personnel, and monitor CIQ data to fix issues quickly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Assembly Line Supervisor and organizes line workload and staffing based on product priority.
• Ensures workmanship standards are met and CIQ data is monitored to fix issues promptly.
• Minimizes changeover times through organized, planned changeovers.
• Keeps floor material usage efficient; ensures availability of supplies and equipment.
• Verifies documentation is current and authorized on the line.
• Informs employees of deviations or changes and communicates with supervisors.
• Drives continuous improvement and trains line personnel to perform duties.
• Tracks production and ensures deadlines and schedules are met.
• Reviews line policies and ensures adherence by employees.

Line Lead - CVG

Jabil is growing and we are seeking experienced Manufacturing Line Leads to work in one of our locations in Florence, Kentucky. Building 300.

How will you make an impact?

As the Manufacturing Line Lead with Jabil, you will organize the workload for the line, as well as staffing for assembly operations depending on product priority.

What will you do?

• Coordinates with Assembly Line Supervisor and organizes line workload and staffing depending on product priority.
• Ensures work meets or exceeds Jabil workmanship standards and monitors the CIQ system closely in order to fix repetitive and recognized problems immediately.
• Minimize changeover times through organized and well-planned changeovers.
• Minimizes excess material on floor; ensure proper stockage and availability of operation supplies and equipment.
• Verifies that only accurate, current, and authorized documentation is available on the line.
• Informs or instructs employees of any deviations or changes.
• Notifies Manufacturing Supervisor immediately regarding all employee problems, concerns and recommendations.
• Strives for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
• Ensures line personnel are thoroughly trained, certified and are performing their assigned functions.
• Motivates and challenges all line members to perform to their full potential through direct and timely formal and informal feedback.
• Tracks production and ensure all deadlines and schedules are met.
• Reviews all relevant policies and procedures issued to the line and ensure that appropriate employees read, understand, and adhere to them.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Shift schedules are as follows:

• Wednesday/Thursday-Saturday 6am-6pm (shift 403)

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma Required, Associates Degree preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Advanced PC skills, including training.
