Job summary

BG Foods in Maryland is seeking a production line worker to set up lines, ensure materials availability and yield accuracy, and enforce PPE and GMP rules. You will train new staff, coordinate with maintenance and QA, and ensure safe, compliant line operations.

You will also handle changeovers, paperwork, and safety reporting while supporting food safety and quality programs in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and team-oriented, aligned with company objectives.
• Ability to learn each equipment on the line for training new staff.
• Motivate and guide others, proficient with MS Office.
• Forklift operation and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up line with guards and verify materials for the day’s run.
• Enforce PPE, GMP practices, and coach staff on work rules.
• Train new employees and re-train when positions change.
• Notify maintenance or QA of issues; complete paperwork correctly.
• Maintain clean, safe area and coordinate with supervisors on changeovers.
• Follow food safety/quality policies and report problems promptly.
