Job summary

B&G Foods is seeking a manufacturing operator in Maryland to support daily line operations. You will verify E-stops and guards, understand procedures, prep materials, and maintain clean, safe work areas.

You must have manufacturing experience, good attendance, and strong communication. You will complete pre-op reports, log downtime, inspect materials, and follow GMP and food safety policies while working with your shift team.

Responsibilities

• Verify all E-stops are operational and guards are in place before start-up.
• Understand operating and safety procedures of assigned machinery and surrounding equipment.
• Gather and ensure required pre-staged materials are correct before line starts.
• Dispose of materials and debris into proper recycle bins or trash containers.
• Complete and submit Pre-Op Reports, Logs, and Downtime Reports as assigned.
• Verify materials match spec sheets and verify cmd labels.
• Ensure glue machine readings and temperatures are correct and materials are loaded.
• Operate capper steam valve settings and monitor equipment.
• Maintain clean work area and report unsafe conditions.
• Communicate with shift and relay any issues to supervisor.
• Ask questions when unsure and follow training before operating machinery.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety/quality policies.
• All other duties as required.
