Job summary

BG Foods in Maryland is seeking a production line operator to ensure line readiness, verify materials, and enforce GMP and PPE rules. You will train new staff, manage changeovers, and maintain a clean, safe work area while upholding food safety and quality standards.

You will also report issues to maintenance and QA, and participate in safe operating procedures and shift handovers as required.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented and able to guide others on the line.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook/Excel as needed for records.
• Able to operate a forklift safely after training.
• Solid basic math skills for measurements and yields.

Responsibilities

• Set up the line with guards in place before start-up.
• Ensure materials for the day are available and account for losses.
• Enforce GMP and PPE requirements and address violations.
• Train new employees on line positions and JSA requirements.
• Notify maintenance and QA of issues; complete required paperwork.
