Job summary

The Line Lead is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Nonwoven Fiber line as well as the associates assigned to work on that line. These duties include but are not limited to the following:

The Line Lead will direct lower position associates, lead 5S activities, ensure safety and quality, and complete daily production and quality reports. This on-site role reports to the Production Manager and requires strong communication and teamwork on the La Vergne, TN line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions such as ratios and unit conversions.
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Forklift Certification.

Responsibilities

• Execute leadership in directing lower position associates in their duties.
• Maintain & lead 5S activities for the Nonwoven Fiber Line.

• Complete required paperwork for reporting Quality metrics.

• Train and transition all new hires in the Nonwoven Fiber Line department.
• Verify that parts meet quality requirements & report quality concerns in a timely manner.
• Notify supervisor of any required equipment maintenance or significant process changes.
• Create an open communication culture.
• Other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• 40+ hours weekly
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, balancing, crawling, reaching, and climbing
• Lifting, carrying, pulling, and pushing up to 40lbs
