Job summary

EFP, LLC in La Vergne, TN is seeking a Quality Technician to support and maintain product quality throughout the manufacturing process. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections, issue first-piece approvals, and assist with SOP development to ensure compliance with customer specs, engineering requirements, and ISO standards.

The role reports to the Director of Quality and involves 1st shift duties from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with a starting wage of $22–$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• PPAP knowledge for manufacturing processes.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read a ruler, tape measure and other measuring devices.
• English reading, writing and speaking proficiency.
• Two years of quality control experience preferred.
• ISO9001 certified auditor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dock audits
• Sort damaged material and repack
• Track scrap from area
• Maintain MRB area

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Quality Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining product quality throughout the manufacturing process to ensure that all materials, components, and finished products meet established customer specifications, engineering and design requirements, internal quality standards, and applicable regulatory and quality system requirements. This position performs a variety of quality assurance and quality control activities, including incoming and outgoing inspections, in-process inspections, first-piece approvals, dock audits, material disposition support, and the identification and documentation of nonconforming materials and products.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Strong knowledge of PPAP for manufacturing processes
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

• Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, write and speak)
• Two years of prior quality control experience preferred
• ISO9001 certified auditor (preferred)
• Detail oriented/organized

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Occasional squatting, kneeling, bending and stooping

Lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing up to 40lbs
