Job summary

EFP LLC in La Vergne, TN is seeking a Line Lead for the Nonwoven Fiber line. The role oversees safety, quality, and daily production metrics, directing associates and ensuring adherence to procedures on a 1st shift (6:30 am–3:00 pm).

The Line Lead will train new hires, maintain 5S practices, and report to the Production Manager, driving a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures and safety.
• Strong interpersonal skills for team leadership.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Forklift certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct lower position associates in their duties on the line.
• Lead 5S activities for the Nonwoven Fiber Line.
• Ensure all team members follow safety procedures.
• Complete daily reports for each production order.
• Complete required paperwork for reporting Quality metrics.
• Report to the Production Manager.
• Motivate, support, and manage all team members on the line.
• Train and transition new hires on the line.
• Verify parts meet quality requirements and report issues.
• Notify supervisor of maintenance or process changes.
• Foster open communication within the team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

LINE LEAD PERSON

1st Shift: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm

Starting at $26 - $30 / hour

JOB SUMMARY

The Line Lead is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Nonwoven Fiber line as well as the associates assigned to work on that line. These duties include but are not limited to the following:

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Execute leadership in directing lower position associates in their duties
• Maintain & lead 5S activities for the Nonwoven Fiber Line
• Ensure all team members follow best practices and safety procedures.
• Complete daily reports for each production order completed
• Complete required paperwork for reporting Quality metrics
• Report to the Production Manager
• Manage, support, and motivate all team members working on the Nonwoven Fiber Line.
• Train and transition all new hires in the Nonwoven Fiber Line department.
• Verify that parts meet quality requirements & report quality concerns in a timely manner.
• Notify supervisor of any required equipment maintenance or significant process changes.
• Create an open communication culture.
• Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions such as ratios and unit conversions
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Forklift Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• 40+ hours weekly
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, balancing, crawling, reaching, and climbing
• Lifting, carrying, pulling, and pushing up to 40lbs
