Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe in New York is seeking a Line Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen where you’ll prepare dishes according to Tatte recipes and uphold high standards of cleanliness and food safety. You will collaborate with a passionate team across shifts, including weekends, to ensure quality meals.

Responsibilities

Execute techniques under the direction of the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
Ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
Set up and break down workstations and prepare for upcoming shifts.
Wash and disinfect kitchen surfaces, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Assist chefs in preparing food and supporting additional culinary tasks as needed.

Our Line Cooks prepare dishes according to Tatte recipes and standards while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and food safety across every shift. We expect our savory team members to:
