Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Café in Brookline, MA is seeking enthusiastic Line Cooks to prepare dishes according to our recipes and standards. You will work under the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to high-quality food and presentation on every shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred.
• Ability to stand and perform tasks for 8+ hours
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices

Responsibilities

• Execute techniques under the direction of the Sous Chef and Executive Chef
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers, and other kitchen equipment
• Ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food
• Set up and break down workstations and prepare for upcoming shifts
• Wash and disinfect kitchen surfaces, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
• Assist chefs in preparing food and supporting additional culinary tasks as needed
• Other related assignments as necessary

Our Line Cooks prepare dishes according to Tatte recipes and standards while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and food safety across every shift. We expect our savory team members to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+ lbs
• Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8+ hours per day
