Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe in Cambridge, MA is seeking Line Cooks who are passionate about food and hospitality. Our Back of House team prepares dishes from scratch with an uncompromising commitment to quality and craftsmanship while following standardized recipes and food safety standards.

You will support the Sous Chef and Café Head Chef, prep ingredients, and cook according to recipes and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute techniques under the direction of the Sous Chef and Café Head Chef.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Ensure food and equipment are maintained at proper temperatures.
• Set up and break down workstations and prepare for upcoming shifts.
• Wash and sanitize kitchen tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Assist chefs with food preparation and other culinary tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We Are Looking For Team Members Who

• Have a desire to help where needed and work as part of a team

• Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, afternoons, and evenings
• Ideally have at least 1 year of experience successfully working in a fast-paced kitchen
