Job summary

P.F. Chang's in Metairie, LA is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time hourly Line Cooks, Wok Cooks, Cooks, Chef De Parties, or Station Chefs to join our kitchen team.

Prepare and plate items according to recipes, maintain sanitation and safety standards, and support kitchen operations with a positive, collaborative attitude.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; we will train you.
• Must have or obtain a Food Handler’s Card where applicable.
• Love for food with an eye for detail; knowledge of weights, measurements and volumes.
• Able to learn restaurant menu and recipes.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food items to company specifications
• Plate prepared foods based on chef’s guidance
• Responsible for the setup, operation, breakdown, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment
• Assist with washing dishes, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning and maintaining equipment, sanitizing utensils, etc.
• Uphold high kitchen sanitation and food service safety standards
