Job summary

The Ruby Slipper Cafe in Franklin, TN is hiring line cooks to accurately and efficiently prepare hot foods for brunch service, portion ingredients before cooking, and contribute to a fast-paced kitchen.

You will plate and garnish dishes, maintain a clean station, follow recipes, and work with managers and teammates. Benefits include medical and dental coverage, paid time off, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front-of-house team.
• Follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently and maintain quality.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food items and portion ingredients before cooking.
• Plate and garnish cooked items and prepare appropriate garnishes for hot menu items.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work area and follow kitchen procedures.

Job Summary:

Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products as well as prepare and portion food prior to cooking. Responsible for performing other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

• A firm belief that butter and bacon make everything better!
• Able to follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently – responsible for the quality of products served
• Complies with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members
• Be able to reach, bend stoop, and frequently lift up to 50lbs
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
