Job summary

DIG INN Restaurant Teams is seeking a Chef-in-Training in Philadelphia to join our scratch-based kitchen. You will learn by doing, developing leadership skills and culinary techniques while working in a fast-paced environment.

Expect hands-on exposure to multiple stations and a pathway to becoming a skilled chef with real responsibility. We offer competitive pay of $16–$18 per hour plus $2–$3 per hour in tips and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Passion for real, good food and willingness to learn culinary skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, and grains following recipes and taste as validation.
• Gain exposure to multiple kitchen stations (grill, garde manger, market line, etc.).
• Discuss menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients with guests to enhance their experience.
• Support team during peak and off-peak service and adapt as needed.
• Maintain food safety standards and adhere to DIG policies.
