Job summary

RA Sushi - Tucson is seeking a skilled line cook to handle grilled, broiled, fried and sautéed items. You will prepare and portion ingredients, plate dishes, and maintain a sanitary kitchen workspace to ensure high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have prior food prep experience, basic restaurant industry exposure, and are 18+. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. We offer a supportive environment with opportunities to grow within the business and hospitality fields.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation required.
• Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus.
• Bilingual preferred.
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or directs preparations of all recipes according to portions, quality, and procedures.
• Prepares a variety of cold and hot items using standardized recipes.
• Plans production to align with meal serving times while maintaining quality and appearance.
• Uses knives, hand tools, and equipment to portion, slice, grill, and garnish food.
• Maintains sanitation, hygiene, and safe handling as outlined in guidelines.
• Keeps Head Kitchen Chef informed of inventories and reports repairs or issues.
• Communicates with Lead Line Cook to ensure timely orders.
• Follows all laws and internal policies; keeps area neat and clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
