Job summary

Mfinite Consulting LLC is seeking reliable, experienced cooks to support meal preparation at the New Hampshire Veterans Home (NHVH). You will prepare and serve meals for veteran residents in accordance with menus, standardized recipes, and dietary requirements, including specialized needs in dementia care units.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food-service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, menus, and written instructions.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced institutional or commercial kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, standardized recipes, and therapeutic/dietary requirements.
• Follow portion-control, food-quality, presentation, and meal-service standards.
• Properly handle, store, label, and rotate food and ingredients.
• Follow all applicable food-safety and sanitation requirements.
• Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Monitor food preparation and notify the Kitchen Supervisor of ingredient, equipment, supply, or scheduling concerns.
• Assist with inventory management, receiving, storage, and rotation of food and supplies as needed.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen and facility staff to support timely and efficient meal service.
• Follow NHVH policies, procedures, and resident-care requirements.
