Felipe’s Taqueria in New Orleans is hiring Restaurant Line Cooks to prepare and serve scratch-made Mexican food. This guest-facing role involves making burritos, tacos, bowls and more while delivering friendly service.

We offer training for team members who are eager to learn, with opportunities for advancement. Positions include full-time and part-time shifts, with morning, afternoon and evening coverage.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Comfortable working directly with guests.
• Able to communicate and work effectively with a team.
• Able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service
• Prepare menu items according to each guest’s selections
• Follow recipes, portions and presentation standards
• Prepare dine-in, takeout, online and catering orders
• Keep the service line clean, stocked and organized
• Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift
• Rotate products and assist with receiving deliveries
• Communicate with cooks, prep cooks, cashiers, bartenders and managers
• Follow food safety, sanitation and workplace safety procedures
• Complete opening, shift-change and closing responsibilities as assigned
