Job summary

Just Smokin' Barbecue is a locally owned restaurant in Wisconsin seeking a dependable Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our award-winning team. You’ll work the restaurant line, prep, stock, and clean your station, and assist with deliveries to keep the operation running smoothly.

We offer a fast-paced environment with opportunities for advancement, tip share, and benefits. Training is provided; must be at least 16 with evening and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn and follow recipes and daily task lists.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• No previous BBQ experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble menu items accurately and efficiently.
• Work the line during lunch and dinner service.
• Operate fryers, grills, ovens, steam tables, slicers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Portion, cut, chop, shred, and package cooked meats.
• Prepare sides, sauces, and other menu items.
• Complete daily prep lists and follow house recipes.
• Stock and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper holding temperatures.
• Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries.
• Complete opening, closing, dishes, and general cleaning duties.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with catering and food truck events when needed.
