Job summary

Summerfield Retirement Community in Slidell, LA is seeking a Line Cook/Prep Cook for the dietary department to prepare meals according to prescribed recipes and menus while maintaining high sanitary standards.

You will join a team serving our senior residents, with various shifts available. Requirements include cooking experience, reliability, good communication, and physical stamina; background check and drug screen are required. Pay starts at $15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience as a cook is required.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines is expected.

Summerfield Retirement Community,is looking to hire friendly cookfor our dietary department. Pay rate starting at $15per hour depending on experience. You will prepare appetizing meals by following prescribed recipes and menus, while adhering to all safety and health standards to ensure good sanitary conditions in cooking and dining premises. Prior experience is required. You must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards.

We will be interviewing qualified candidates who will be serving our senior residents, so a serving heart is required! Various shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Able to prepare and provide meals to be served at designated times
