Job summary

Summerfield Senior Living in Gulfport, MS is hiring Line Cook/Prep Cook for our dietary department. You will prepare meals from prescribed recipes, follow safety standards, and maintain sanitary kitchen conditions for our senior residents.

Prior cooking experience is required and a customer‑oriented approach is essential. We offer various shifts, competitive pay of $14–$16 per hour, and benefits such as health, life and vision insurance plus PTO.

Qualifications

• Must have proven cook experience.
• Experience in customer service is a plus.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines is required.
• Aptitude with cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent; food services certification is a plus.

Summerfield of Gulfport, a retirement community, is looking to hire friendly cooks for our dietary department. You will prepare appetizing meals by following prescribed recipes and menus, while adhering to all safety and health standards to ensure good sanitary conditions in cooking and dining premises. Prior experience is required. You must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards.

We will be interviewing qualified candidates who will be serving our senior residents, so a serving heart is required! Various shifts available.
