Job summary

BB's Tex-Orleans in Pearland, TX is seeking a Line Cook or Prep Cook to plate dishes and handle basic food prep tasks in a fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare and cook food on time, follow our recipes, and keep the kitchen clean and well stocked.

You’ll set up your station, chop vegetables, cut meat, stock supplies, and work with the kitchen team to deliver consistent meals. We offer flexible schedules, full-time and part-time roles, overtime opportunities, free shift meals, and a 25% dining

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience is very important.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
• Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work overtime and 50+ hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes at assigned station following recipes.
• Ensure station and kitchen are stocked and clean.
• Chop vegetables, cut meat, and prepare sauces as directed.
• Stock inventory and follow health and safety standards.
• Cook menu items with support from kitchen staff.

Job description

A Line Cook, or Prep Cook,plates dishes and completes basic food prepping tasks for BB’s. The Cooks main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cooking food on time, and following our recipes. Cooks will keep the kitchen clean and well stocked. Cooks must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be on time with everything they do!

Responsibilities for a Cook

• Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked.
• Chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
• Follows the instructions of the kitchen manager
• Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
• Stock inventory and supplies.
• Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.

Requirements and skills for successful Cooks

• Previous Kitchen experience in is very important.
• Excellent communication
• organizational skills.
• Must have a good attitude and work as a team
• Open to overtime and working 50+ hours

Cook Benefits:

• The pay range is $12 and up to $15 an hour with restaurant experience
