Job summary

Bb's-Tex--orlean is hiring a Line Cook/Prep Cook in Katy, TX. You will plate dishes, prep ingredients, and help maintain a fast-paced kitchen by following recipes and station procedures.

Responsibilities include stocking the station, chopping vegetables, cooking menu items with the kitchen staff, and upholding food safety standards. Flexible schedules with AM/PM shifts are available in a full-time or part-time capacity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate dishes according to menu and station.
• Follow kitchen manager instructions and recipes.
• Maintain clean, stocked and safe prep areas.
• Stock inventory and assist line cooks during service.
• Ensure proper food handling and timely cooking of items.

Job description

A Line Cook, or Prep Cook,plates dishes and completes basic food prepping tasks for BB’s. The Cooks main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cooking food on time, and following our recipes. Cooks will keep the kitchen clean and well stocked. Cooks must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be on time with everything they do!

Responsibilities for a Cook

• Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked.
• Chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
• Follows the instructions of the kitchen manager
• Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
• Stock inventory and supplies.
• Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.

Requirements and skills for successful Cooks

• Previous Kitchen experience in is very important.
• Excellent communication
• organizational skills.
• Must have a good attitude and work as a team
• Open to overtime and working 50+ hours

Cook Benefits:

• The pay range is $12 and up to $15 an hour with restaurant experience
• Earn $1000 to $1800 per check.
