Job summary

Boyd Gaming is seeking a cook to prepare and plate food to memorized standards in a fast-paced kitchen. You will monitor production, rotate stock, and maintain station cleanliness while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of cooking experience, can stand for long shifts, lift up to 75 pounds, and can obtain required licenses or certifications. This role is on-site at our Illinois dining facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of cook experience.
• Stand/walk for full shift.
• Lift up to 75 pounds.
• Physical requirements: reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, twisting.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare food orders according to memorized standard recipes.
• Coordinate orders for pick-up.
• Maintain cleanliness of work station and storage areas.
• Control waste by rotation, storage and quantity control.
• Maintain inventory of station and order stock to pars.
• Apply established safety and sanitation procedures.
