Job summary

High Tide Seafood Bar and Grill in Goodyear, AZ is seeking an experienced cook to prep Mise en Place and cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot items. You will portion, plate, garnish and ensure consistent portion sizes and quality across all dishes.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, sanitary station, stocking ingredients, following recipes, and communicating clearly with the team. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods during shifts.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with manager, kitchen and dining room personnel.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other equipment.
• Assumes responsibility for quality of products served.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations for smooth service.
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and equipment.
• Prepares items for various cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning or marinating.
• Follows plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Closes the kitchen properly and participates in closing checklist.
• Attends scheduled meetings and suggests improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Chef or manager-on-duty.
