Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age.
• Minimum 2 years of kitchen preparation and cooking experience.
• At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables for cooking using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other equipment.
• Ensure quality and consistency of products; follow portion sizes and recipes.
• Plate and garnish dishes per standard presentation; prepare appropriate garnishes.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work station and proper rotation of food items.
• Close the kitchen using the closing checklist and assist others with closing tasks.
• Attend scheduled meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement.
